Experimental Study of Both-Sides Cylindrical Roller Machining Based on Ceramic Plate

In order to improve the accuracy and batch consistency of cylindrical roller machining, in this paper, a both-sides machining method based on hard ceramic plate is proposed. Traditional cast iron stainless-steel polishing were replaced by materials with high hardness good wear resistance. After processing centerless grinding, processed lapping using Al2O3 plates. The roundness, diameter surface quality before after compared analyzed evaluate feasibility effectiveness method. grinding for 1 h 8 h, average roundness rollers decreased from initial 2.3 μm 0.32 μm, while each tended be same. At same time, deviation was reduced 3 satisfactory. marks produced completely removed, significantly improved. roughness reached Ra 16 nm. upper lower had certain wear, but amount small, having little impact results. shape hardness, resistance small process. Additionally, it could maintain extremely flatness long time. Using plates process rollers, precision can obtained machining.
